A new CHIEF in the BWH/D.C. Can we hope for change?

I hope the DRAFT will return. That alone could get some of the young men off the street corner and out of the minimal security institutiions. Also it will relieve some of the pressures on the over crowded institutions.
I was happy to see that the FEDS can now check up on the Swiss bank accounts. There is probably enough green in those accounts to cover the Trillion dollar deficeit.

As a nation the people must change for the better in so many ways. More than I can list at this time. United we stand! Divided we will fall! Come together folks! This nation can do it!

It is not about us anymore as individuals. It's about the NATION!

Making new promises or old ones again to yourself? Well, think about the house you live in, the neighborhood that surrounds your home, the city of other neighborhoods, the state that city lies within, the nation that state is a part of, the continent that your nation lies within, the planet that your continent shares with the rest of this world that mankind human beings are knowingly destroying and think how can I make this a better, safer, world for all living creatures to live and thrive in.
Can we do something to make this a healthier planet for our future generations?
The responsibility is everybody's. Man is a virus on this earth. Killing and destroying everythng that is good for all creatures.
Turn It around, Think differently. We have to breathe the air. Eat the produce of the earth. Feast on the beasts of the land. Yet we pollute all that sustains our very exsistence.

This planet is dying! It has Cancer. Man with their filthy habits has polluted nearly every inch of this once beautiful earthy planet. I cry every time I see, or read, or hear of the devastation that humanoids continue to target towards earths' regions.

The North Pole, Anarctica, the regions of the Equator and all the oceans, the seas and the lakes and rivers are all filthy with mans' pollution.

Do we have any time left to turn this world around? GREED is the worst. That sin alone drives the others. Wages for some are obscene! how on earth can people expect to survive when so many are so greedy?
Man is the virus on this earth. No doubt. They destroy everything they touch. Mother Nature is losing her battle, but she is fighting back. Only the dull-witted cannot see this.

Recession no DEpression is on the way. Only those with the obscene bank accounts can save the world. Give up the dough you can't take it with you!

Thinking about 23 Things of Learn& Play @CML

First thoughts were WHY! Then I started going through the 2.o definitions & its characteristics in part. I visited many of the sites, played and learned from various ones. I found a few more interesting than others and I became addicted to a few. I feel the social-networking is great for those of the same interests. Perhaps even drawing a few people into something new if they encountered an interest on maybe Twitter or something similar.

All in all it was an interesting journey which I came to enjoy. I learned a lot and I hope to learn more as I keep going on back to the the sites to play.

Choices are slim in some genres, but it is fun to know that you can download a book and carry it with you. I do like having access to classic films that can be downloaded.

Podcasts, Video & downloadable audio

MOLDI &I have been friends since the beginning, but I have never did podcasting or downloaded to a MP3 player. I may learn to do that in 2009. However, I do know how to download videos and audio books to my computer. I am comfortable with that.
Who know, I may get a MP3 player or IPOD over the holidaz.

You Tube seems to be one of a kind. It is wild. Not like MySpace or Facebook. It makes for far-out and sometimes interesting entertainment. When you want the wild and unexpected go there.

I agree. It is great! I found it interesting for many reasons and for many great tools.

I had fun exploring some of them. I find myself searching for certain ones at home. Getting to like 2.0 more & more. Maybe soon I'll be brave enough to chat with the world.

Ah so there is a world out there that does the same thing as Microsoft office/word and excel. I am now in the know.
Enlightening to know that one does not have to have all those programs on their computer if they can choose from online souces. More choices for all.

Okay! I suppose I am not the type that likes to do small talk, because twitter is just to much sharing. It's a bit like texting. I can see it's use for those that have the need. It could be a good thing at CML when there's a need between certain groups.

Okay crew, I understand about wikis. If the info is current and up to date and can be of use to the searcher all is good. Being that anyone can post a wiki about whatever they fancy I feel it wise to be a bit skeptical until you have gathered all the facts and stats .

I was not aware that I needed permission to enter the sandbox. I feel so left out .

At first I thought the site was jus another listing like so many others, but after going back I had more respect for the info offered. I find that I can identify with others that are of the same reading interests and even chat if & when I get that kind of nerve to venture that road.

Sites like Del.icio.us are great for those that have a lot of bookmarks and use them.
Sharing those bookmarks with others who are of the same mindframe seems an awesome way of social networking. Organizing by Tagging seems the best of the best of ways to keep track of sites most important.

All Good! I enjoyed learning and playing as well as attending and listening to all of the Above.

I am amazed by technological devices that make our daily tasks easier. I endeavor to stay current with the devices I need to use. 2.0 is the bomb.

Okay, my favorite thing so far is reading about issues that concern new technologies he environment of this globe we call earth.

The 360° World Atlas DVD lets anyone with a computer become a virtual hitchhiker, no packing or neck-craning required. Creator Everen Brown does all the hard work for you. He jets around the globe, lugging a 40-pound bag full of 600 rolls of film past airport security, and picks a picture-worthy spot. Then he takes one of the world’s last Globuscope rotational cameras (no longer in production), holds it over his head (sometimes he lies on his stomach), and waits (sometimes for hours) for the right shot. When he sees it, snapping the picture takes only a second. The lens rotates full circle, so you get to see what’s across from the Taj Mahal’s minarets too. Once Brown develops the film, he embeds the images into an interactive atlas ($69.95, http://www.360atlas.com/) that shows off head-turning views, panorama style.

Why do cars have ashtrays if their drivers who smoke do not use them?

Okay! I see smokers driving and flicking their ashes out the windows and then when they finish the fags they throw them out the windows also. Why?
Have you ever been behind a smoker who throws a lit cigarette out of the window and it flies back on your windshield? Why are smokers so inconsiderate of others? Why don't they use the ashtray in their cars?
Then there are those who do use their ashtrays and when it gets full they dump it out the window. WHY?
Does nicotine do something to some smokers brains to make them think that they can litter the earth with the wastes of their nasty habits and it has no effect on the environment?
